Deadline for Membership Dues and Rosters

Florida FFA Alumni & Supporters
Membership Dues and Roster
Policy and Procedures

You may start updating your local alumni roster and adding new members on September 1st of the current school year. December 1st is the deadline for dues payment, membership roster, alumni officer list and revised bylaws (if applicable) to be uploaded to the ffa.org site to be eligible for Scholarships, awards, voting, etc. for the upcoming Convention and Annual Meeting. Per National FFA Alumni & Supporters, starting August 2020, all alumni chapters will be required to pay the $100 affiliate dues. Even those chapters with 25 lifetime members.

If the above isn’t submitted by December 1st, the second deadline is June 30th after the school year ends to remain in good standing with Florida and National FFA Alumni. However, your alumni chapter will not qualify for alumni specific awards/grants. This also applies to chapters that have 25 and 10 Lifetime Members. After June 30th, you will not be able to do anything until September 1st of the upcoming school year.
Remember, you may add alumni members throughout the year. Local chapters need a minimum of 10 annual or Lifetime members submitted by December 1st. Make sure all of your local officers are listed on your roster. Per National FFA Alumni, local chapters are required to have a full slate of officers to be considered active and in good standing.

Submit the following starting September 1st thru the December 1st deadline.
• Copy of the alumni chapter’s most recent bylaws, if revised, uploaded to the ffa.org website.
• Submitted roster through the FFA.org roster system.
• Payment of annual Alumni and Supporters fee and any life member fees through the ffa.org system.
• List of local alumni officers and FFA advisors updated on ffa.org.
• If we have one of the items listed, by the deadline date, but not the other then you have still missed the deadline.

Here are directions on how to do all of the above on ffa.org

We will NOT:
• Beg for your officer list, roster and/or dues.
• Send out multiple reminders. This happens every year at the same time.
• Accept just a list of names for the state alumni to enter into FFA.org roster system. Your alumni chapter must enter its own roster!
Please do not wait until the day before the deadline to request log in information, ask how to operate the FFA.org roster system or ask for your local alumni officers to be set up as chapter leaders.
If you do not submit the required information by December 1st your local alumni will not qualify for the following:
• Florida FFA’s Premier Chapter Award
• Alumni Essay Award
• Outstanding Alumni Chapter Award
• Alumni grants through the National FFA Organization.
• Seat delegates at the General Membership Meeting during State Convention
• Individual Members of your alumni will not qualify to run for the state alumni board.

If the required information is not received by June 30th the local alumni will be labeled as
“Not in Good Standing”. Which means,
• FFA logos/names cannot be used for any purpose.
• You may not hold fundraisers or any activity that makes it appear that you are connected to FFA in any way.
• You will not be able to reactivate until after September 1st of the upcoming school year.
